DRT: Artist – Dancer No. 51,249/SP
Born in Russia, Pasha began his dance career at the age of 18, in 2010. After 4 years of regular classes in Urban Dances, he started teaching as a professor. From 2015 onward, he left Russia due to an extremely homophobic context and moved to New York to further boost his artistic career, studying with leading references in contemporary dance, urban dances, and the Ballroom community. At the end of 2017, he moved to Brazil in search of new professional challenges as a dance artist, whether as a teacher, choreographer and/or dancer, and began working with T.F. Dança Company as an interpreter-creator, teaching regular classes at various dance schools in the city of São Paulo. Before the pandemic, he was part of the group’s artistic residencies, Cena 11, and the Aqui Mesmo core. During the pandemic, while a student in the Technical Dance Course at Academia Tania Ferreira, he started studying the field of video dance, and one of his works, “Protocolo 22,” was shown at the 2021 SESC Dance Biennial. Starting in 2021, he has been getting closer to the Ballroom (Vogue) scene in São Paulo more intensely, participating in training sessions and regular events of the LGBTQIA+ community. In 2021, 2023, and 2025, he participates in the festival “Dança em Trânsito,” which proposes various artistic exchanges with dancers from other states in Brazil, as well as international artistic residencies by Zappala Danza (Italy) and Iker Karrera (Spain). In 2023, he was part of Laila Padovan’s “Projeto Pele,” in collaboration with the Municipal Theatre of São Paulo, resulting in performances both in the streets of downtown and in the Municipal Theatre’s own spaces. In September 2023, Pasha premiered his solo “HOMO” as part of the T.F. Dança Company’s Dance Fostering initiatives, where he reflects on homophobia within the social context of both Russia and Brazil. Since the premiere, he has presented his solo at some festivals in Brazil (Dança à Deriva, Mostra Verbo, and Teatro Sérgio Cardoso) and in Bolivia (NUNA Fest and Festival Cuir).
