Igor Gasparini holds a degree in Journalism (from PUC-SP) and in Physical Education and Health (from USP). Postgraduate in Cultural Journalism, with an emphasis on Dance Criticism (from PUC-SP), a Master’s in Communication and Semiotics also from PUC-SP, and a Doctorate in Performing Arts from the Institute of Arts at UNICAMP.

Director and Creator-Performer of T.F. Cia de Dança, supported by the 20th, 24th, 28th, 32nd, and 37th Editions of the Fomento à Dança de São Paulo program and by the PROAC Public Notice for Performing Arts Circulation in the State of São Paulo (2016, 2020, and 2022). He received the APCA Award for Best Dance Debut with ELO in 2019 and was nominated for the APCA Award for Creation | Choreography with RASTRO in 2024 (www.tfciadedanca.com.br).

Professor of Professional Technical Dance Courses at the Tania Ferreira Academy and at ETEC de Artes – Centro Paula Souza; he also served as a professor for the Licentiate and Bachelor’s degrees in Performing Arts at the Institute of Arts of UNESP. He was an artistic-educational advisor for the Vocational Dance Program of the São Paulo City Hall for 4 years and assumed the artistic-pedagogical coordination of the Program in 2021, in addition to taking part for 4 years in the Dance Qualification Program of the Government of the State of São Paulo.

Author and critical reviewer of the textbooks “Se liga nas linguagens – linguagens e suas tecnologias”, for high school education in the arts—dance—area, published by Editora Moderna. He was part of the analysis committee for Dance Cultural Projects under PROAC Public Notice 1as Obras of the Government of the State of São Paulo; the Nelson Seixas Award (São José do Rio Preto) and the cultural projects of the Government of the State of Paraná.

He collaborated with dance artists and companies such as: Grupo Zumb’Boys, Núcleo Pedro Costa, Coletivo O12, KD Cia de Dança, Grupo DivinaDança, Cia de Performance, and Bombelêla Dance Company. He received the Best Choreographer Award in the Dance category at the 10th Young Brazilian Awards and was part of the Brazilian cast of the BTS group show. He did the stage movement direction for “New dance order” at the Festival The Town 2023. He choreographed ÂNIMA for Cia de Dança do Pantanal.

He was invited to teach workshops in the city of Arhem, in the Netherlands, and in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, in Bolivia. He completed further training in New York, in the United States, at the Broadway Dance Center. He also took courses in various urban dances and contemporary dance in other locations in the United States, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and Italy.
