How well do we know each other? How far do our desires go? What does our unconscious want?
The show seeks to reflect on each person’s alley; on individual and collective longings. What moves this body dreaming or awake, delving inward into multiple wills and reflecting metaphors from a life of appearances. A dreamlike universe transformed into a collective unconscious, set on some night; on some street; in this city. Repetition and reconfiguration of an individual interpretation of collective desires. Desires provoked; dark desires. “The reform of consciousness consists only in awakening the world… from the dream of itself” (Karl Marx).
Night; street; city; wall; graffiti. Elements that inspired the creation of this show and serve as the setting for desires to emanate. Each one in their own alley, with their headphones, drawing and coloring their story. Narratives we carry; with marks of a past tattooed onto our memories. Filled with scars we try to gently erase.
