DESCRIPTION:Bodies of Borders\nNovember 19\, 2025\nWednesday\, at 8 PM - Free\n\nBodies of Borders investigates the limits—physical\, symbolic\, and social—that run through bodies in contemporary Brazil. The work seeks to reflect on the plurality of bodies that call these borders into question: Black people\, women\, homosexuals\, and those from the periphery come together in the belief that\, together\, individualities are strengthened\, creating possible microfractures for understanding the world today. In times marked by social and symbolic distancing\, the work proposes crossing these borders beyond the physicality that separates territories\, affirming a desire for meeting\, for recognition of one’s own body as a border\, and for the (s)cinesthetic experience as a ritual of sharing. By recognizing a portrait of the human condition as essentially collective\, Bodies of Borders affirms the need to be together\, to seek interactions\, affiliations\, and ways of coexisting. Onstage\, the hierarchies between social roles are tested and\, in the best of scenarios\, questioned and reshaped\, making room for new forms of relationship\, listening\, and presence.\n\n\nThis presentation is part of the Rastro project\, supported by the 37th edition of the São Paulo City Dance Promotion Program.
