Odri Campos is a performer, dancer, and arts educator living in the South Zone of São Paulo. She began her dance journey with breakdancing and, since 2015, has been developing research investigating the fusion between Urban Dances and Expanded Contemporary Dance, from the perspective of a political dancing body. She graduated from the Technical Dance Course at ETEC de Artes de São Paulo and from the Núcleo Luz Project – Cycle II, under the direction of Chris Belluomini, a training that also includes classical, modern, contemporary, and Brazilian popular dances. As an artist-researcher, she developed the original solo piece “Restinga”, a research project focused on body, territory and ancestry. Currently, she is a member of “T.F. Cia de Dança” and “Num Corre” dance collective, working as a performer and also in diverse artistic training activities. She also researches photography as an expanded creative exercise, seeking to combine this language with her dance processes.
